“The Hyke Gin Very Special from UK-based Foxhole Spirits will offer consumers a more sustainable option to try out that makes use of an ingredient that would otherwise be discarded. Crafted using pressed wine grapes, the gin is made with 19 botanicals that add further flavor complexity that is unlike anything out there. The gin is finished with a drop of brandy to give it an unexpected flavor accent.
Foxhole Spirits Founder James Oag-Cooper spoke on the new Hyke Gin Very Special saying, “”We took our English wine grape spirit and started to create something completely new with it. We realised that this raw material is so incredible, and has so much texture and flavour. With all of our expertise over the last few years, [we thought] that we could make something that other people will think is even better.””
We make our spirits using sustainably-sourced surplus materials generated by other businesses. We believe it’s the right thing to do – and research shows the most sustainable thing to do with waste is make something new with it. But mostly because it brings you incomparable spirits with character, qualities and flavours as unique as their backstory.
With its “Delightful, Superb Complexity,” HYKE is a Gold medal winner at the International Wine & Spirit Competition.
Created with our mission of producing premium spirits with a focus on using otherwise unused resources, HYKE is produced from internationally sourced, fresh table grapes that are surplus to the requirements of the supermarket supply chain.
HYKE’s one-of-a-kind flavour is made using a unique botanical blend of grape spirit, juniper, myrrh, nigella seed, rooibos, cumin, bay leaf, green cardamom, black cardamom, coriander, angelica root, angelic seed, orris root, liquorice root, aniseed, and lemon zest.
HYKE Gin is bottled in a modern take on the traditional Gin bottle, inspired by the geometric patterns of traditional African textiles.
